Although the meaning of the Latin word from which April is derived is uncertain, it is thought that it could mean "to open," a reference to the month of the year when nature begins to open its blooms.  As Spring invites nature to open up and become fruitful in april, the Spirit is inviting us during this month to open up to Him and become fruitful spiritually.  If you have been suffering in the winter of your discontent, open up to Him and see what new life He has for you.
